Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Concord and Walnut Creek is seeking a Cleaning and Restoration Technician to support services including carpet and floor cleaning, water and mold remediation, and air duct cleaning. You will help deliver timely restoration work and contribute to customer satisfaction.

The role offers opportunities for advancement with on-the-job training and potential certification paths in restoration disciplines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED).
• Adequate math skills and ability to apply techniques for equipment needs.
• Basic computer, email, and portable device usage for reporting daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred or related cleaning experience.
• 1 year of water mitigation, mold mitigation, or restoration experience.
• IICRC certificates are highly desired (CCT preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services offered by the company.
• Complete cleaning/restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work and maintain daily logs and work orders.
• Maintain stock of tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• 1 year of water mitigation, mold mitigation, fire restoration, and containment building experience.
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
  • Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly).
  (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
