Job summary

Manhasset Public Schools is seeking a dedicated full-time facilities cleaner to perform cleaning and routine maintenance across classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas. The role includes floor care, dusting, window washing, and moving furniture as needed, with daily duties spanning 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

New York State fingerprint clearance and Civil Service approval are required. Salary is set per the MESPA contract for a 12-month position in Manhasset, NY.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, strip, and wax floors.
• Dust woodwork, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Wash windows, doors, and walls.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment as needed.
• Replace light bulbs, towels, soap and other supplies.
• Remove trash and recyclables.
• Assist with room setups for events and school functions.
• May be assigned to other labor tasks as required.
