Job summary

ABM is seeking an on-site Cleaner to perform cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area in California. The role starts at $17.00 per hour and includes a Sunday and Monday shift from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Training is provided, and no high school diploma is required.

Responsibilities include cleaning buildings, handling chemical cleaners safely, reporting repairs, and maintaining clear communication with team members and supervisors. Benefits information is available through ABM’s employee resources.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Notify management about repairs or additions to building systems.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Comply with safety, security, and quality standards and procedures.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines and equipment.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment as needed.
• Clean interior glass, windows, partitions, and mirrors using cleaners.
• Wash and replace blinds.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Sweep and manage seasonal tasks like raking leaves or snow removal.
• Wipe tabletops, chairs and equipment in food areas.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

Responsibilities:

• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
