We are looking to help our client in Alpharetta fill a Cleaning Technician role.
Our client is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility, including cleanrooms and contamination-controlled environments used for medical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain offices, hallways, conference rooms, laboratories, break rooms, restrooms, warehouses, and other facility areas.
- Clean, disinfect, and decontaminate cleanrooms and contamination-controlled areas according to established procedures and schedules.
- Follow strict gowning, PPE, safety, and contamination-control procedures to minimize microbial, particulate, and chemical contamination.
- Complete cleaning logs, checklists, inventory records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and consumable inventory and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Maintain break rooms, including cleaning counters, tables, appliances, floors, coffee machines, and water dispensers.
- Perform routine cleaning, descaling, and basic preventive maintenance of break room equipment.
- Clean, package, and sterilize components and materials according to established procedures.
- Move materials and equipment throughout the facility safely.
- Receive, log, and distribute packages when needed.
- Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, assembly, or fabrication tasks using hand tools and small power equipment.
- Follow all company, OSHA, GMP, ISO, and safety requirements.
- Wear required PPE and cleanroom garments for extended periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For
- Preferred experience includes:
- Previous experience working in a cleanroom or contamination-controlled environment.
- Experience wearing cleanroom suits, gowns, coveralls, booties, gloves, masks, or other cleanroom PPE.
- Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, healthcare manufacturing, or GMP/ISO-regulated facility.
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, environmental services, or facilities experience.
- Experience following detailed cleaning, sanitation, safety, or manufacturing procedures.
- Basic mechanical, building maintenance, or medical technical experience is a plus.
- Experience with inventory tracking, data entry, activity logs, or electronic documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, technical/vocational training, or some college preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow written procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting a team.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and safety-conscious.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic or written documentation.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments and PPE for extended periods.
- Ability and willingness to learn basic facility maintenance and equipment procedures.
- Willingness to obtain OSHA stacker lift certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
