Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Clean Room Machinery Mover/Rigger to set up, assemble, or disassemble machinery for relocation and transporting equipment in ISO cleanroom environments.

You will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and follow safety procedures while working with a multi-craft team on project tasks.

This hands-on role requires physical fitness, attention to safety, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to MEI’s customers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• OSHA10 preferred (certification will be provided).
• Able to take direction and closely follow instruction.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Familiar with PPE and safety requirements in clean room environments.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clean room experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble, or disassemble machines/tools for relocation.
• Move microchip/semiconductor facility machines/tools in clean room environments.
• Unloading trucks with forklift; manage crating materials.
• Follow ISO cleanroom PPE standards and safety protocols.
• Learn to operate skating tools, air dollies, pallet jacks and forklift as needed.

Position Summary

Set-up, assemble, or disassemble job-specific specialty machines/tools that includes selecting proper gear and equipment based on the size, weight, dimensions, and area of movement that is necessary to safely secure machinery, tools, and equipment for relocation and/or transportation. Control, manipulate, fabricate, and repair machinery moving and support structures. Requires the use of hand, flag, and/or verbal signals to communicate to operators and others. Clean Room Machinery Movers/Riggers may drive a commercial vehicle, perform maintenance functions, assist in warehouse activities, or perform other tasks as necessary when not machinery moving.

Clean Room Duties

• Set-up, assemble, disassemble, and move microchip and/or semiconductor facility machines/tools
• Work in highly sensitive environment among multi-craft team to perform essential functions of project
• Unloading trucks with Forklift, this will include uncrating, cleaning up and disposing of crating material.
• Proper PPE Clean Room suit usage for ISO cleanroom environment standards.
• Ability to learn skating tools, air dollies, pallet jacks and forklift.
• Detail and safety oriented, understanding safety protocols and willingness to follow customers procedures.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education)

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• OSHA10 preferred (certification will be provided).
• Able to take direction and closely follow instruction.
• Visualize or predict the outcome of the job by using deductive and inductive reasoning.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment including hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Must be able to read or use a tape measure, levels, calipers & gauges, use proper tools, as necessary.
• Correctly and safely use tools and equipment for proper weight -bearing work.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Familiar with various hand or flag signals including the use and meaning.
• Willing to learn, know, and follow safety requirements, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Minimum of Three (3) years of Clean Room experience required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This is very physical, hands-on work. A Clean Room Machinery Mover/Rigger must be able to perform General Physical Activities — activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work off the ground at varying heights, and not be affected by moving machinery or parts. Willing and able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment and/or outdoors in all types of weather, and over uneven ground or terrain.

The Clean Room Environment is a well-controlled workspace that is isolated from contaminants such as: air-borne particles, dust, and vaporized particles. Personal hygiene standards and clean room personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for large portions of shift to maintain ISO standards. Strict adherence to all protocols is required while working in the clean room environment.
