Job summary

CoorsTek in Maryland is seeking a Clean Room Associate I for the graveyard shift to visually inspect, clean, label, and package products in a controlled Clean Room environment.

Under supervision, you will load parts into fixtures, monitor automated lines, and follow gowning protocols to prevent contamination while maintaining quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or clean room experience and at least 6 months of related work history.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent OR manufacturing experience in a clean room environment.
  • Minimum 6 months related work experience; prior clean room experience strongly preferred; experience with automated or semi-automated equipment desirable.
  • Strong reading comprehension; ability to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and OMS documentation.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work with diverse people.
  • Must be able to stand for most of the shift; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hours: Graveyard Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated blasting and automated cleaning lines, including loading parts into fixtures, selecting the correct program, and monitoring the process while parts run independently.
  • Follow established glove and gown protocols for Clean Room duties, reporting any deviations to appropriate personnel to ensure product non-contamination.
  • Receive and stage product for manufacturing into Clean Room following all procedures.
  • Maintain cleaning tanks, walls, tables and fixtures in clean room following established Clean Room procedures.
  • Accurately complete required nonconformance reports ensuring accurate records.
  • Maintain and enforce entrance procedures of all controlled areas to ensure non-contamination of product; report non-conformance to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist other Clean Room personnel in proper contamination control; minimize contamination by adhering to containment procedures.
  • Handle and move parts throughout the shift; parts may be fragile and some may be heavy.
  • Work at a steady, semi-medium production pace while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Assist and/or perform in any and all areas as assigned.
  • May work any and all shifts/days as required.

Job Requirements
  • Hours: Graveyard Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Shift Differential: $2.50/hour
  • Training Requirement: Attend one week orientation on Day Shift; will train on Graveyard shift after first week.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent OR manufacturing experience in a clean room environment.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months related work experience; prior clean room experience strongly preferred; experience with automated or semi-automated equipment desirable.
  • Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong reading comprehension; ability to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and OMS documentation.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work with diverse people.
  • Must be able to stand for most of the shift; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Target Hiring Range: USD 19.00 - USD 22.00. Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
