Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona is seeking a route driver to safely operate a CDL vehicle for pickup and delivery of donated goods in the Phoenix area. You will provide high-level customer service, follow all safety policies, and perform daily vehicle checks while completing required paperwork.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, be 21+, hold a valid CDL (A or B) with DOT certification and medical examiner’s certificate, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CDL vehicle.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle to collect, transport, and deliver donations and merchandise.
• Provide courteous customer service to donors and GCNA staff.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and complete required paperwork.
• Follow all safety rules and report hazards promptly.
• Occasionally work overtime to complete tasks.

Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service to donors and other GCNA departments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed.Acts courteously, handles customer concerns, and resolves and/or escalates when necessary.Follows all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws.Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks.Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance. Processes and submits paperwork as directed and reviews reporting.May be required to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
