Job summary

Commerce City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom. The role includes reinforcing lessons, helping with activities, supervising students, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, small-group work, behavior support, and keeping the classroom organized. Paraprofessional certification is preferred and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Paraprofessional certification preferred.
• Background check as per state requirements (OCGA 20-2-211.1).
• Experience or coursework in working with children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering instructional materials.
• Support students individually or in small groups with academic tasks and assignments.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other events.
• Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and behavioral support.
• Provide support to students with special needs as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with grading, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.
