WNYRIC Districts is seeking a Teacher Aide for Wilson Elementary School to support classroom instruction and student care. The role involves assisting teachers, supervising students, and helping with equipment in study labs and classrooms.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, relevant childcare or youth leadership experience, and a background check with fingerprint clearance. Itinerant location at Wilson Elementary School in Wilson, NY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Childcare experience or related field knowledge is required.
• 600 hours of satisfactory experience as a volunteer or monitor in a school system may be considered.
• 600 hours of leadership experience in a community, church, or educational/recreational organization involving children is required.
• Background check and fingerprint clearance through Identogo / TEACH (New York State Education Department) is required.

Responsabilités

• Assists teacher in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups of students.
• Attends to the physical and care needs of a student relating to safety, care and management, mobility and/or material management needs.
• Escorts students to and from buses, classrooms, bathroom, and lunchroom.
• May assist teachers in correction of test papers, recording of grades, maintaining files and preparing statistical reports.
• Assists students with the use of technical/computer or electronic equipment in study labs or classrooms and related duties.
