Job summary

Everman ISD is seeking an Educational Aide to support teachers with instructional materials, classroom displays, and administrative tasks. The role includes supervising students, assisting with testing and records, and helping substitute teachers as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma (or GED) and a valid Texas educational aide certificate. Experience with children is preferred and candidate should be able to work cooperatively in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom (lunchroom, bus, playground).
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings; maintain confidentiality; be punctual; be a positive role model.
