Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks an Instructional Aide for Northside Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, OH. The role supports teachers, assists with student activities and classroom management to foster a positive environment.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent, MS Office proficiency, and a clean background check. It includes clerical duties, supervision and participation in school events, with a starting pay of $16.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional’s Exam pass.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups of students.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports the teacher in student/parent relations.
• Assists with school activities (events, meetings, chaperones, etc.).
• Performs clerical duties (grading, copying).
• Assists the Teacher with classroom technology use.
• Help maintain cleanliness of classroom and lunchroom.
• Adheres to school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned (field trips, duty, etc.).
