All Kids Academy Head Start, Inc. is seeking on-call Classroom Substitutes to support preschool and infant/toddler classrooms in East County. You will assist in instruction, ensure a safe, engaging learning environment, and support developmentally appropriate activities with active supervision.
The role offers flexible scheduling; substitutes are called on days and times they are available, and you will work across AKA Head Start sites as needed.

Classroom Substitutes fill in for staff absences/vacancies on an on-call basis. Assist in the instruction of preschool-age children and/or infants and toddlers. Create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth in compliance with agency standards and abilities of children. Responsible for assistance in the agency active supervision processes in addition to the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in his/her care.
The substitute position offers flexibility to meet your schedule. As a substitute, you will only be called on days and times that you are available.
Substitutes with 3 semester units of infant/toddler development may be assigned to infant/toddler classrooms.
Prior to employment, in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 as amended, employment candidate will be required to provide either proof of U.S. citizenship or other documents that establish the candidate’s eligibility to be employed in the U.S. Head Start regulations require that no person shall work in any Head Start program until they have been fingerprinted and cleared through the Department of Justice.
