Job summary

Fulton County Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in classrooms or the media center. Responsibilities include assisting with materials, guiding students in small groups, and helping with daily routines and library operations.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and eligibility for the Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate. Experience with media center systems and dual language instruction is a plus.

Qualifications

• Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.
• Discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with students and adults.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
• Technology proficiency with computers and AV equipment.
• Knowledge of library organization and filing procedures.
• Proficiency in spoken/written language in Dual Immersion if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support daily routines: distribute/collect supplies, attendance, quizzes.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Maintain bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Monitor library use and assist with instructional tasks.
• Assist with media/technology resources and databases.
• Inventory media center materials and prepare displays.
• Circulate and collect student mobile devices; generate overdue/lost-book reports.
• Staff circulation desk and check materials in/out using Destiny.
• Direct student assistants as needed; keep media center organized.
• Participate in additional Dual Immersion training as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administrator.
