Job summary

A Catholic educational organization seeks an Assistant Teacher for its preschool in Alexandria, Virginia. The role involves supporting the Lead Teacher in ensuring a nurturing and faith-filled environment for children aged 2–5, implementing daily activities, and supervising students. Qualifications

• Meets Virginia VDOE requirements for Assistant Teacher.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with young children (ages 2–5) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher with daily activities and lesson implementation.
• Assist with small group instruction and student engagement.
• Supervise children at all times.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Guide positive behavior and support social-emotional development.
• Communicate professionally with staff and families.
