Job summary

Regina Caeli Academy in Brookfield, CT is seeking a part-time Classroom Assistant to support a classical Catholic classroom. This role offers 12 hours per week, with Monday and Thursday scheduling from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Training is required on August 5, 2024, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and ongoing support is provided. You will assist in teaching, manage the classroom, and help with curriculum delivery in alignment with RCA standards.

Qualifications

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required.
• Experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism.
• Strong communication, organization, timeliness, and traditional view of student/teacher relationship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching students in the classical and Catholic tradition.
• Provide instruction, classroom management, and grading guidance according to RCA standards.
• Participate in class planning and support curriculum delivery.
• Attend required online video training and assessments after hiring.
