Job summary

Central Missouri Community Action is seeking a Classroom Aide for Jefferson City to support teachers in mixed-age groups (infants–2 and 3–5 years). You will assist with daily activities, supervision, and a structured Head Start learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and may benefit from prior daycare or preschool experience. The position is full-time with a 10-hour shift, Tuesday through Friday, at multiple locations in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience working with low-income families and children.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Daycare, preschool, or childcare work experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with classroom activities.
• Engage with children in age 3–5 classrooms and infants up to age 2.
• Support a structured Head Start learning environment.

Classroom Aide (Jefferson City)

Assist the teacher with classroom activities. Some classrooms are children ages 3–5 and some classrooms are infants to age 2. The Head Start program is an early childhood education program with a structured learning environment where staff actively supervise and engage with children. Pay is $15.09 per hour.
