Straight Line Customs Inc in Prior Lake, MN is seeking a passionate Classic Car Auto Mechanic to restore and customize vintage vehicles. You will diagnose, repair, and upgrade engines, brakes, suspensions, and drivetrains while sourcing period-correct parts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an auto mechanic, with a strong focus on classic or vintage vehicle restoration
• Deep knowledge of older mechanical systems, carburetors, points ignition, and period-correct components
• Ability to read and interpret vintage automotive schematics and service manuals
• Experience with fabrication, welding, or custom parts sourcing is a strong plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Genuine passion for classic cars and automotive history
• Must supply own tools

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and restore classic and vintage vehicles to factory or custom specifications
• Perform engine upgrades, tune-ups, and mechanical overhauls on antique and classic automobiles
• Inspect and repair classic car brake systems, suspension, steering, and drivetrain components
• Fabricate or source hard-to-find parts for vintage vehicle restoration projects
• Collaborate with customers to understand restoration goals and provide expert mechanical recommendations
• Document repair and restoration work accurately, including parts used and labor performed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
