Job summary

TheatreWashington is seeking Class Instructors for Musical Theatre & Performing Arts. We need instructors in Acting, musical theatre, vocal performance, dance, audition preparation, technical theatre, and other specialized subjects.

Plan and teach structured, age-appropriate classes and create a welcoming environment that challenges, protects, and prepares students. Responsibilities include accurate attendance, timely class starts, clear demonstrations, and feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, directing, coaching, or performing in the relevant discipline.
• Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
• Dependability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with children and teenagers.
• Evening and/or weekend availability. Must have reliable transportation.
• Degree or formal training in theatre, music, dance, education, or a related field is preferred but not required when supported by substantial professional experience.
