Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking Class E Driver with strong forklift skills to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe delivery of lumber and building materials to jobsites and the efficient movement of inventory within our yard. This role is highly physical and requires a professional attitude when interacting with our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Deliveries: Transport materials (lumber, millwork, roofing) to residential and commercial sites using non-CDL company vehicles, ensuring all loads are secured and delivered on time.
- Forklift Operation: Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to pull orders, load delivery trucks, and unload incoming shipments.
- Yard Maintenance: Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe lumber yard; assist customers with loading their personal vehicles.
- Inspections: Perform daily pre-trip inspections on vehicles and forklifts, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Documentation: Review delivery tickets for accuracy and manage paperwork for returns or exchanges.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Missouri Class E driver's license (or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum 6+ months of direct forklift experience preferred; familiarity with lumber products is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 80-100 lbs consistently in all weather conditions (heat, rain, snow).
- Reliability: Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pay Range: Depending on experience and location.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
