Job summary

K&S Tire Recycling in Chicago Heights, IL is hiring Class D Drivers for local tire collection routes. Drivers must safely operate assigned vehicles and physically collect and load tires at customer locations.

This role requires manual tire loading, outdoor work in varying weather, and strong reliability. You will complete routes, document quantities, obtain signatures, perform vehicle inspections, and maintain a clean, safe truck.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle.
• Experience driving a 16-foot box truck or van.
• Able to repeatedly lift and handle tires up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to manually load tires throughout the day.
• Outdoor work in varying weather.
• Good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned company vehicles
• Complete scheduled customer pickup routes
• Manually load and unload used tires
• Roll, lift, carry and stack tires onto trucks
• Organize tires to maximize safe truck capacity
• Verify and document quantities collected
• Perform vehicle inspections
• Obtain customer signatures and required photos
• Communicate route/customer issues to dispatch
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

This is not a driving-only job. Manual tire loading is required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license appropriate for assigned vehicle
• Previous experience driving 16 foot box truck or van
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to repeatedly lift and handle tires up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to manually load tires throughout the workday
• Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, pushing and pulling
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional customer-service skills
