POSITION TITLE: Gym Instructor

LOCATION: Maplewood, NJ

REPORTS TO: Program Director

The Little Gym is a children’s enrichment and physical development center. As an Instructor, you lead fun, age-appropriate classes that build kids’ confidence, coordination, and love of movement.

Life’s too short to not work someplace awesome! If you love kids, enjoy moving, and being active in your job while having a ton of fun, you may be the person we are looking for!

What we expect from you…

Responsibilities

• Introduce kids to the serious fun of education and play, all within The Little Gym\'s unique learning environment.
• Teach amazing classes and lead/assist unforgettable Birthday Parties and special events based on our proven curriculum and teaching method (don’t worry, we’ll teach you how!).
• Provide outstanding customer service and membership experience. We treat our members like family here.
• Create a warm, fun, and educational environment for the children in each class and party.
• Treat each class and each child as if it’s their first day – EVERY WEEK!

Hours of Operation: 9AM - 7PM EVERYDAY (SUNDAY - SATURDAY)

You’d fit in here if…

• You love having fun, like giving high 5’s, and can play like a child! (A background in child development, physical education, and/or gymnastics helps as well)
• You live to serve! Making others feel good makes you feel good.
• Kids really like you, but their parents really like you too.
• You love to have fun, but you know when to buckle down and do work. Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills are a must!

You may think we’re awesome because…

• Children walk out of our classes more confident than when they walked in every single day.
• You’ll get your steps in and close your activity rings while you work because you’ll be moving all day.
• Guests walk out of our Birthday Parties wanting to have their party at The Little Gym too!
• Is athleisure-wear your vibe? Great, because yoga pants, t-shirts, and bare feet/socks will be your daily dress code.
• When you rock a birthday party, the parents reward you with great tips!
• If you’re a high school or college student who is looking to pick up a few extra hours on the weekends to support your social life, we have flexible scheduling.
• We take our fun pretty seriously but also take the role we play in our community and with each child we meet seriously. The relationships you’ll build here will last a lifetime.
• You could get paid to fold t-shirts or you could get paid to act like a dinosaur. The choice is yours.
