Job summary

ThermTech is seeking a Class B Driver to support shipping and receiving with real-time order tagging and accurate packaging. The role involves driving a ThermTech truck to customer sites, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Shifts are 1st shift, starting at 6:15 AM, Monday through Friday, with travel to various ThermTech facilities. Requires a current Class B license, ability to work overtime, and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class B license and ability to drive a ThermTech truck.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Tag and verify orders for shipping in real time.
• Load and unload trucks and ensure proper packaging for shipment.
• Maintain truck and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Keep truck clean and conduct daily pre-trip inspections.
• Navigate and operate daily routes and communicate with dispatch.

Position Wage

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Salaries are based on a number of factors, including the skills and experience of the candidates. It is common to be hired at the lower to middle end of a salary range and while it is possible to be hired at the higher end, it often requires unique circumstances, such as proven expertise.

Job Description

The Class B Driver is responsible for following schedules and instructions to maintain a real time flow through the shipping and receiving area in the plant. Identifying issues with their direct customers and reporting those to management will also be expected.

Job Duties amp; Responsibilities

• Proper tagging of all incoming orders in real time
• Verify packaging is suitable prior to shipping
• loading amp; unloading trucks as needed
• Ensure plant organization amp; cleanliness
• Able to drive and Class B ThermTech truck
• Ability and willingness to learn any of the Class B routes

Truck Responsibilities

• Keep updated maintenance on truck
• Oil changes
• Preventative maintenance
• Overall cleanliness of truck, inside and out
• Fill out daily pre-trip inspection
• Navigation of trucks safely on daily route
• Individual to maintain their shipper queue daily
• Fill our trip report log if your truck has IFTA plates

Customer Service

• Deliver and pick up orders on time to exceed customers#39; expectations
• Show courtesy, kindness, respect, amp; patience with all customers
• Help customer to the best of your ability-if unable to assist have them contact customer service
• Remain aware of overnight orders for their customers amp; ask production if they are not done to ensure orders make delivery times.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, a non-resident, authorized to work in the U.S. without ThermTech sponsorship). ThermTech does not sponsor visas, either at time of hire or at any later time.
• This position must satisfy ITAR (DSP-5) compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be a lawful permanent resident [8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20)] or a protected individual [8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)]. Employment of Foreign Persons(s) [22 CFR 120.63] will be contingent on receiving the DSP-5 license from the US State Department.
• All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test amp; background check.
• Current Class B license with the ability to travel interstate required
• Ability to drive a split shift 8, 10, 13, or 18 speed manual transmissions required.
• Current ability to use air brakes required.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• May be required to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification

Physical amp; Mental Demands

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in a non-climate controlled industrial environment
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying at least 25-pound objects throughout shift
• Must be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform fundamental mathematical skills and concepts (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and the basics of algebra and geometry).
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone.
