Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Davenport, IA is seeking a Class B CDL Route Driver (Sales and Service Route Driver) to train for driving a Class B box truck, provide onsite service for parts washer machines, and sell products on a defined route. Expect Mon-Fri, home daily, with an average start between 6-7 am and overtime after 40 hours paid biweekly.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical functions as required by the job.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical per position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 for respirator positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety as the top priority by following all safety policies and processes.
• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new field leads.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing customers.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups promptly.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations and rules.
• Operate vehicles safely per DOT and company guidelines.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.

• Monday - Friday, home daily
• Average start between 6-7 am
• Overtime after 40 hrs. - paid biweekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day

• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
