Job description

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Huber Heights, OH, is looking for a Class B CDL Operator to join their safety-conscious team!

The Class B CDL Operator is responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC Industrial jobs across all service lines. They supervise and complete single-task jobs with one crew and handle turnarounds under management oversight at the client’s site, in accordance with client and business requirements, as well as company policies, practices, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as safety representative, responsible for safety policies and procedures for both the company and the customer, including operations, safety, equipment, emergency response, and administrative functions.
  • Operate vacuum and hydroblasting equipment, including Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as vacuum trucks, jet rodders, and chemical cleaning tools.
  • Ensure surface cleanliness meets company and customer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment used on the job.
  • Manage duties related to liquid vacuums, air machines, and jet rodders.
  • May supervise a crew of vacuum technicians.
  • Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer sites.
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain driver logs, and comply with all vehicle and DOT requirements.
  • Handle hoses, unload vacuum trucks, and provide general field maintenance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Vocational training including classroom safety, on-the-job experience, and other relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in English to understand safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license with CDL Class A or B, complying with company driving policies.
  • Smartphone for Electronic Logging Device usage.
  • Potential requirement for Federal TWIC credential.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
  • Experience operating vacuum trucks.
  • Working knowledge of wet and dry vacuum equipment.
What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Class B CDL License required.
  • HAZMAT Endorsement required.
