Job summary

ABC Supply Interiors in Portland, ME is seeking a licensed CDL Driver to safely deliver building materials to commercial and residential sites. This local role involves operating a delivery vehicle, unloading and stocking materials, and ensuring orders are accurate and presentable.

The ideal candidate has a valid CDL Class B, ability to lift up to 250 lbs with assistance, crane/boom experience preferred, and a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL – Class B minimum.
• Ability to unload, transport, and position building materials.
• Capable of standing, climbing, reaching, bending, and twisting through shifts.
• Crane/boom experience preferred.
• Trailer mounted forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to and from the delivery site.
• Unload and stock building materials on jobsites as directed.
• Oversee safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Follow safety directives and traffic laws; comply with weight limits.
• Safely and efficiently operate crane/boom as needed.
• Site safety responsibility for delivery operations.
• Distribute and place materials per order tickets.
• May assist with warehouse loading/unloading as assigned.

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday 6am- 4pmABC Supply Interiors is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. In this role, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from the moment you leave the facility until you have completed each delivery.Specific duties may include:Operating a delivery vehicle to/from the delivery siteUnloading and stocking building materials on jobsites as directedPhysically handling material with a co-workerOverseeing the safe loading of the delivery vehicle to ensure the order is accurate and that the products are of the highest quality possibleObeying all regulatory agency and company safety directivesObeying all traffic laws and weight limitsSupervising and expediting the unloading operation at delivery sites to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of all building materialsResponsible for site safety as it pertains to the deliveryAccurately distribute and place all specified building materials as indicated on the order ticketSafely and effectively operate a boom, crane or Gradall as needed, based on the specific requirements of the customerResponsible for having the delivered product neatly placed and appearing as orderly and presentable as possibleResponsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assignedThis position does not require over the road travelSpecific qualifications include:Valid CDL – Class B minimumAbility to unload, transport, and position all building materials as requiredAbility to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shiftsAbility to consistently lift and carry 250 lbs with assistanceDrywall boom and/or curtainside truck experience is preferredTrailer mounted forklift truck experience is preferredCrane certification is preferredBenefits may include:Health, dental, and vision coverage - eligible after 60 days, low out of pocket401(k) with generous company match - eligible after 60 days, immediately vestedEmployer paid employee assistance programEmployer paid short term and long term disabilityEmployer paid life insuranceFlex spendingPaid vacationPaid sick daysPaid holidaysPay Rate Information:$23-32/hr.
