Job summary

ABC Supply Co. Inc. is seeking a licensed CDL Driver for local deliveries in Sudbury, MA. You will ensure safe deliveries from the facility to customers, while remaining home nightly and adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and strong customer service. Compensation is $26–$28 per hour with benefits and a comprehensive employee program. This position does not involve long-haul travel and offers stability with an established nationwide

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B is required.
• Able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly.
• Pre-employment and random drug screens are required.
• Flatbed truck experience is preferred.
• Trailer mounted forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers professionally and safely at delivery.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow delivery schedule and directives precisely.
• Document each delivery with photos via company phone system.
• Perform thorough load checks and secure materials per regulations.
• Coordinate with Delivery Material Handler for placement and unloading.
• Complete logs and government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customer with an invoice and collect COD when applicable.
• Possibly perform warehouse duties including loading/unloading.
• This role does not require over-the-road travel.

Specific Duties May Include

• Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conducting a safe work zone during each job site
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
• Documenting every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Working in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set the materials and unloading them
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting the entire due amount on COD deliveries
• Responsibilities may include warehouse work, including loading and unloading of materials on to or off of trucks or into warehouse as assigned
• This position does not require over the road travel

Specific Qualifications Include

• Valid CDL – Class B
• The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70 pound bundles of shingles)
• Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
• Flatbed truck experience is preferred
• Trailer mounted forklift truck experience is preferred

Pay Rate Information

$26-28/hr. Based on experience and qualifications.
