Job summary

Academy of Art University is seeking full-time Class B Drivers with two or more years of professional driving experience, preferably in San Francisco. You will be responsible for safely transporting students, faculty and staff to and from residential halls, classrooms and other Academy buildings.

Drivers will operate a variety of transit vehicles, maintain safety inspections, and ensure bus cleanliness. Hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, 40 hours/week, 37.5 weeks/year.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional passenger driving experience.
• Valid California driver's license with passenger endorsement.
• Ability to pass a driving test.
• Friendly, patient and enjoy interacting with others.
• Vigilant while driving in downtown San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Transport students, faculty and staff between facilities on time.
• Ensure bus safety per vehicle, traffic safety regulations and conduct safety inspections.
• Maintain bus cleanliness throughout shift.
• Reflect courteous and helpful image: call out stops, return lost items to security, keep appearance neat.
• Comply with all DOT and FMCSA requirements and Academy policies.
• Maintain a commercial Class B license and necessary endorsements.
