Job summary

Metzler-Forest-Products, LLC seeks a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate tractor-trailer units delivering wood chips, mulch, logs and other forest products from diverse job sites to designated facilities. You will adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs and paperwork.

The role requires at least one year of over-the-road experience, a clean DMV record, and a current DOT medical card. Expect outdoor work in varied weather, long hours, and strict safety protocols to protect yourself

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Class A CDL driver's license and a clean DMV record.
  • Current DOT physical examination card and ability to pass substance abuse screening.
  • At least one year of over the road experience; log hauling experience preferred.
  • Must meet DOT physical and medical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Drives truck and trailer to haul logs, wood chips, or other forest products.
  • Performs pre-trip inspection and maintains required records.
  • Communicate with supervisor and dispatcher about site conditions and routing.
  • Ensure load is properly secured and weight distributed.
  • Operate equipment to load/unload trailers.
