Job summary

Trillium Drivers is seeking Regional Class A Truck Drivers in Schoolcraft, MI for a temp-to-hire opportunity. Pay rate is $30.00 per hour with OT after 40 hours, schedule 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, with weekends at home.

As a CDL Class A driver, you will haul general commodities, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain logs while staying DOT compliant. Regional routes keep you home on weekends in a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL-A driving experience.
• Clean driving record with a strong safety record.
• Valid DOT medical card and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to operate commercial vehicles in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor/trailer with automatic transmission on regional routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and DOT compliance.
• Touch freight position requiring in-trailer crane and/or pallet jack loading/unloading.
• Follow routes and schedules, adapting to traffic and logistical updates.
• Maintain logs and mileage records with accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch, customers, and teammates to ensure smooth operations.

Job Details

• Safely operate a Class A Tractor/Trailerwith anautomatic transmission haulinga 53’ dry van trailer.
• Conduct thoroughpre-trip and post-trip inspectionsto ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance.
• This is a touch freight position utilizing an in-trailer crane and/or pallet jack to un/load.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting to traffic, weather, and logistical updates.
• Maintain accuratelogs, mileage records, and all other necessary documentation.
• Communicate proactivelywith dispatch, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere strictly toDOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
• Ensure all dunnage is secured before entering public roads.
• Immediately reports any damaged product and/or delivery issues to direct supervisor/transportation manager.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications
