Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is hiring a Transfer Driver to move loads between company locations. The role requires a valid CDL, clean driving record, and DOT medical card.

You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain the vehicle, verify loads, and deliver internal mail with a professional demeanor. The position offers an hourly rate of $30 plus incentives and requires flexibility for extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak seasons.

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly pay rate of $30 / hour plus incentives. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Transfer drivers are responsible for transporting loads between company locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate commercial motor vehicle safely, courteously, and obey all traffic regulations
• Responsible for completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Responsible for keeping company vehicle neat and clean at all times
• Must report all vehicle damage and required maintenance to the shop and Team Leader
• Verify accuracy of load
• Hook and unhook trailers in a safe manner
• Deliver inner office mail
• Must present and maintain a positive, professional attitude and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees while performing the duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL license and a clean driving record
• Must have a valid DOT medical card

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to48pounds
• Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
• Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions
• Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be required
