Job summary

Bills Towing & Recovery in the Ohio Valley is hiring a Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operator to join our in-person team. You’ll provide high‑quality customer service while safely operating heavy tow equipment.

Requirements include CDL Class A, current DOT Medical Card, at least three years of combined vehicle driving, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, and Paid Vacation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• CDL Class A license with current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum three years of combined vehicle driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Experience operating a wrecker or willingness to learn.
• Ability to drive an 18-speed transmission.
• Maintain a professional appearance and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide towing and roadside assistance as part of a team.
• Operate heavy-duty tow trucks in various weather conditions.
• Maintain safety and readiness of equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate with customers professionally and clearly.

Qualities

• An aptitude for providing the utmost customer service experience

• Either experience in professionally operating a wrecker or the eagerness to learn
• Be able to pass a drug test and background check

• A good MVR upon submitting your application

Requirements

• Ability to lift material weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds
• Must have a CDL/Class A
• Current DOT Med Card
• Minimum of three (3) years combination vehicle driving
• Ability to drive 18 speed transmission
• Basic mechanical knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• Day shift 8a to 5pm
• Rotate Holidays
• On call 2 nights a week
• every other week end off
• Weekend availability if wanting extra hours

Experience:

• Tow truck: 1 year
• Commercial driving: 3 years

License/Certification:

• Wrecker Permit (Preferred)
• CDL Class A (Required)

Work Location: In person
