Job summary

Unitex Healthcare Laundry Services in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician (10B) to perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines, with minimal supervision.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and collaborate on equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years as a Class A Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician in an industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams related to laundry equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, press) with minimal supervision.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; develop solutions to minimize downtime.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Collaborate with team to plan upgrades, installations, and modifications as needed.
Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures to improve efficiency.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and parts inventory.
