Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is seeking a Distribution Driver Class A responsible for delivering products to clients statewide, inspecting vehicles, and handling payments. The role requires a DOT certification and a valid Class A CDL, with duties including loading, unloading, and ensuring safety on all deliveries.

The position emphasizes adherence to DOT guidelines and company safety rules. You will follow pre/post-trip inspections, maintain records, and complete paperwork daily.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience.
• Must be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Deliver statewide products to bars, restaurants, hotels, or other customer locations
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle
• Receive payment for goods delivered
• Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery
• Adhere to safe and courteous operation of delivery vehicle at all times
• Check in money and returned goods daily with Driver Check-in & Accounting Cashier
• Complete all required paperwork daily, including DOT logbook and DVIR
• Follow company uniform standards and safety regulations
• Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods
• Load and unload cargo with proper safety equipment and procedures
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in compliance with safety requirements
• Report incidents to dispatcher
• Follow traffic laws and maintain vehicle, product, and equipment in good order
• Perform other related duties as assigned
