Job summary

Crystal Creamery, Inc. is hiring for Class A Drivers at our West Sacramento Depot. Local routes, home daily, and Teamsters Union enrollment with 100% paid medical for you and dependents and a 100% paid Teamsters pension.

Starting pay is $25.00 to $27.25 per hour DOE, with opportunities for growth and excellent benefits. As a delivery role, you will drive a tractor-trailer or bobtail, unload at customer locations, and adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies while providing top-notch

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Must possess and present a valid MEC (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
• Ability to safely lift and move product and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Unload products using hand truck or pallet jack and place in customer storage areas.
• Generate invoices using handheld unit and verify deliveries with customers.
• Complete DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports as required.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer and attend required meetings.

Crystal Creamery is HIRING for CLASS A DRIVERS at our West Sacramento Depot! LOCAL ROUTES, HOME DAILY, and TEAMSTERS UNION enrollment which includes 100% PAID comprehensive medical package extended to you and dependents, 100% PAID Teamsters Union pension, and more! We are looking for Class A Drivers who give class A customer service. This is a delivery position responsible for driving a tractor trailer or bobtail truck for the purpose of delivering and unloading various products to customers while also working in accordance with state and DOT regulations and Company safety policies. Starting Pay $25.00 to 27.25 per hour DOE.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform the management team of any deviations.
• Unload products from Trailer, or Bobtail using hand truck, electric pallet jack or cart, and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting products down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart; constantly bend and pivot while loading and unloading product, and retrieving items from trailer.
• Operate assigned hand-held unit to generate invoices. Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures. Contact management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors/returns.
• Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Perform coupling procedures for the tractor/trailer as needed.
• Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required.
• Follow Company always preferred work methods and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer or bobtail truck.
• Attend all required company meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.
• Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills.
• Be able to work and thrive in a team environment

Basic Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a "clean" driving record.
• Must possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner's Certificate Card (MEC).
