Bunzl Salt Lake City is seeking a dedicated Driver to operate Class A tractors and deliver goods regionally. This role requires pre/post-trip inspections, strict adherence to safety rules, and on-time log submissions, with overnight trips as needed.

You will handle loading/unloading, maintain vehicle condition, and ensure timely deliveries to customers while upholding Bunzl's safety standards and customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Lift up to 30 pounds; loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Pass background check and drug tests; active medical card.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Must be able to do overnight runs.
• 2+ years driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

4 - 10 hour days | $26-30/hr. | 4am start time

Tuesday - Friday Work Schedule | Off Saturday, Sunday and Monday!

2 overnights.

A Day in the Life:

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.


• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.


• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.


• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.


• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.


• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves:

• Valid Class A CDL.


• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.


• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.


• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.


• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.


• Excellent communication and time-management skills.


• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.

Preferred Requirements

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.


• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Salary Range: $26 - $30 per hour based on experience, education and market data in the geographic location. Paid Weekly.

• Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance available to employees and eligible dependents starting the first day of the month after 30 days of employment (unless otherwise specified by a collective bargaining agreement).


• 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match of $0.75 per $1.00 contributed, up to 6% of eligible pay, available after 30 days.
