Job summary

Bunzl North America is seeking a Driver to transport products in a safe manner following DOT regulations. You will deliver to customers on time while representing the company and providing excellent service.

Role includes occasional overnight travel with hotel provided and $50 per diem while over the road. Benefits, pay options, and a strong team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record per fleet safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Must pass background checks and drug tests; maintain medical card.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and timely logs/paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading and ensure cargo is secured.
• Report vehicle issues to management promptly.

Job description

The Driver will transport products in a safe manner and by following proper DOT regulations. Delivers products to customers on time while providing excellent customer service as the face of the company.

• 24 per hour


• Occasional Overnights (2-3 a month)


• Hotel will be provided


• $50.00 per diem while over the road

Day in the Life:

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.


• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.


• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.


• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.


• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.


• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.


• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves:

• Valid Class A CDL.


• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.


• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.


• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.


• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.


• Excellent communication and time-management skills.


• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.


• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

What We Prefer:

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.


• Experience with GPS and routing software.
