Job summary

Trench Shoring in Sacramento, CA is seeking Class A drivers to join our team. This full-time role involves operating tractor-trailers with 80,000+ GVW, safe on-time deliveries, and direct interaction with customers.

Candidates should have a valid CDL-A, clean driving record, at least 3 years of flatbed experience, crane certification preferred, and the ability to read maps and plan routes. Local travel means drives return home most nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid and clean Class A CDL.
• Crane certification preferred; company will train if not certified.
• 3+ years of experience driving a flatbed truck and trailer.
• Knowledge of local major and minor roadways; map reading skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and materials in a safe and timely manner.
• Use an electronic driver log and coordinate routes.
• Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.
• Perform daily safety inspections of the vehicle.
• Follow policies to ensure the job is done properly.
• Occasionally unload cargo as required.
• Local travel with drivers typically home most nights.
