Revels Tractor, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Class A Driver responsible for loading, unloading and transporting company and customer materials in compliance with DOT regulations and Revels policies.

The role requires daily vehicle operation, pre-trip inspections, log maintenance, and flexibility for overtime and travel as needed. Strong safety focus and customer service are essential.

This non-exempt position offers a hands-on trucking role and a chance to contribute to reliable, on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Must hold active Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state Department of Transportation regulations.
  • General working knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local Department of Transportation rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and/or unloads material, products, and equipment on trucks/trailers.
  • Operates a commercial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route.
  • Maintains electronic driver logs and paper logs when required in accordance to Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Performs daily safety check at the beginning of the assigned shift, logging a pre-trip inspection report.
  • Maintains the assigned vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition at all times.
  • Facilitates routine service on assigned vehicle, which may include checking all fluids, tires and other general service needed.
  • Reports maintenance malfunctions to Logistics Manager
  • Maintain/Use electronic portable devices (phone/tablet) to record logs/time
  • Locate and read location on road maps
  • All employees, other than remote sales staff, are expected to report to their designated work location and be ready to work at the start of their assigned shift.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the daily functions related to the loading, unloading and transportation of company’s and customers’ materials, products, and equipment. This individual will perform all duties in accordance with Revels policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (including, but not limited to)
  • Loads and/or unloads material, products, and equipment on trucks/trailers
  • Operates a commercial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route
  • Operates specialized equipment when warranted
  • Maintains electronic driver logs and paper logs when required in accordance to Federal, State, and local laws
  • Performs daily safety check at the beginning of the assigned shift, logging a pre-trip inspection report
  • Maintains the assigned vehicle in a clean and serviceable condition at all times
  • Facilitates routine service on assigned vehicle, which may include checking all fluids, tires and other general service needed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must hold active Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state Department of Transportation regulations
  • Ability to remain focused in busy environment
  • Must maintain an active Department of Transportation physical and medical card
  • General working knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Team player, willingness to and be adaptable in challenging situations
  • Bilingual communications (if fluent in other than English languages)
SCHEDULE
  • This position’s schedule is Monday through Friday variable hours
  • This schedule may and will change depending on the work demand
  • This position may be required to work overtime (outside of normal business hours, including weekends) and/or altered hours, if management deems necessary.
  • This position will be required to travel on a regular basis, most travel may be same day travel
WORKING CONDITIONS

A truck driver will spend the majority of the assigned shift in and operating their vehicle. The driver will be exposed to the weather and elements on a regular basis.

  • Position primarily involves sitting in a vehicle for prolong periods of time
  • Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to complete various activities that may require sitting, lifting, standing, and carrying, bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting
