Job summary

Bunzl is seeking drivers to safely operate Class A tractors, perform inspections, and deliver goods regionally and cross-country. You’ll log hours, adhere to DOT regulations and company policies, and maintain secure cargo while building a strong, trusted link with customers.

Ideal candidates have a clean driving record, 2+ years of driving experience, Hazmat clearance, and the ability to navigate using GPS routing software. Bunzl offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles safely.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug testing.
• HAZMAT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.

A Day in the Life:

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Deliver goods in a timely and safe manner to customer locations, both local and long-distance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and ensure timely submission of logs and paperwork.
• Manage cargo loading/unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, reporting any issues to management immediately.

The Must-Haves:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record, based on our fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading/unloading responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug tests, and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance

What We Prefer:

• At least 2 years of Driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.
• HAZMAT IS REQUIRED
