Job summary

Reddy Ice is seeking a full-time CDL-A delivery driver to service customers in Shreveport, LA. You will drive tractors and transport ice to client locations, either on assigned routes or by delivering truckloads, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class A CDL, and 1+ years of driving experience; 3 years route experience is preferred. Weekend, night, and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current/valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum of one year experience as a driver in a similar vehicle.
• Three years previous route delivery driver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This position delivers ice to customers in articulated vehicles (tractor-trailers) that require a CDL class A license. Drivers are either assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated is subject to change depending on business needs.

Education & Experience Required:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a current/valid class A CDL license
• Must possess driving record that meets or exceeds company-qualifying standards
• A minimum of one (1) year experience as a driver in a vehicle similar to which you will be assigned to operate during the time of employment with the company is required

Education & Experience Preferred:

• Three years previous route delivery driver or DSD experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Must be able to drive in stressful environments. Unloads, loads, and rotates product in merchandisers / iceboxes. Required to lift 40 lbs. throughout the day. Required to work in all weather conditions. Weekend, night, and holiday work is a requirement of the position. Will perform work in retail stores; frequently driving between retail stores and plant location. Overtime may be required. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
