Job summary

Quirch Foods is seeking a dependable CDL driver to deliver products in a variety of traffic and weather conditions. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, ensure correct products are loaded, and complete all required paperwork and invoicing as needed.

You will load and unload for customers, maintain DOT and company safety certifications, and build knowledge of products and inventory controls. Excellent customer service is essential, with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid interstate Medical Card (non-expired).
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly.
• Ability to communicate in English for job and safety requirements.
• Compliance with truck driving rules and company policies.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Meets FMCSR requirements.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a CMV for the delivery of products in a variety of traffic and weather conditions.
• Perform required pre- and post-trip inspections; including, but not limited to: ensuring that correct products are on the truck prior to departure, filling out any required paperwork, and collecting/submitting invoices (checks and/or cash) when required.
• Load and unload products for the customers.
• Maintain all required certifications by DOT and company safety program.
• Develop expertise of our products, inventory controls, and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Must possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Card.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or walk; as well as sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English within the context of the job and safety requirements.
• Must be able to comply with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check).
• Meets or exceeds minimum requirements established by Quirch Foods and FMCSR.
