Ajax Turner Company, Inc. is Tennessee's largest beer distributor, with operations in LaVergne. We seek a full-time route delivery driver with a Class A license, offering a stable day shift and home each day.

Starting pay is $59,410, with potential to reach $76,200 on an assigned route in year one, plus medical, dental, vision, life, and STD/LTD coverage, a 401K match up to 6%, and paid leave. No weekends; typically 40–50 hours; starts around 5 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent driving record and clean criminal history.
• Must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Delivering products safely to customers on an assigned route.
• Rotate products, stock shelves, and report out-of-stocks.
• Submit required paperwork, invoices, and payments daily.
• Ensure loads are correctly built and loaded in the truck.
• Maintain knowledge of the company's product portfolio.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues per policy.
• Maintain product freshness in retail accounts.

Job Details Job Location: Ajax Turner La Vergne - LAVERGNE, TN 37086 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $59,410.00 - $76,200.00 Salary/year Job Shift: Day Ajax Turner Company, Inc. is Tennessee's largest beer distributor with its operation located in LaVergne. The company has been in operation for over 50 years and is family owned and operated. The Company distributes a variety of products including Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, Heineken, and Sparkling Ice products, among many others.

SCHEDULE: No Weekends! Home Each Day! Start at approximately 5AM - until completion of route--there is no set off time. 40-50 hour average work week. Again, No Weekends and Home each day.

PAY RANGE: Start at $59,410 when you come in with a Class A License. Once route trained and assigned your own route, you can earn up to a total of $76,200 in your first year on an assigned route. Yearly increases to follow.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivering products in a safe and timely manner to all customers, following an assigned daily route. Will repetitively lift 40-50 pounds throughout the day.
• Rotate all products, stock shelves, report out of stocks, organize back stock, and relocate products as directed.
• Submitting all required paper work, sales invoices, communication forms, and customer payments every day.
• Ensuring loads are built and loaded in truck accurately, reporting any loading errors.
• Cultivating a superior knowledge of company's portfolio.
• Reporting vehicle maintenance issues and accidents according to company policies.
• Maintaining published product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stock.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent driving record and clean criminal history.
• Must be able to drive or learn to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Can build product displays, stock cooler shelves, stack cases, etc.
• Ability to effectively and safely operate a dolly(aka hand truck, two-wheeler).
• Friendly, courteous, works well with others, and maintains a professional appearance.
• Ability to work flexible hours, hours might vary during different seasons.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Has a strong commitment to customer service with the ability to effectively work in a team environment.
