QCD, a subsidiary of Golden State Foods, is seeking a Class A CDL driver for La Puente, CA to join a local, home-daily route. This 100% touch freight role involves EV tractor-trailer operations, lift-assist, and DOT compliance. Starting pay $34/hour with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will work nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation and enjoy medical, dental, vision, 401(k), uniforms, and more. QCD values safety, teamwork, and a strong union-friendly environment.

Responsabilités

Class A CDL Driver – La Puente, CA

What You’ll Do:

In This Role, You’ll:

• Operate a EV tractor-trailer on local routes – solo
• Deliver food products safely and efficiently to restaurant customers
• Load and unload using hand trucks or pallet jacks - this is a 100% touch-freight role
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and submit accurate paperwork
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, store personnel, and team members
• Handle return loads and ensure equipment and deliveries are in compliance

What You’ll Bring:

• A valid Class A CDL, current DOT medical card, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving and delivery experience
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs., stay active throughout the shift, and work in multi-temperature environments (coolers/freezers)
• Strong customer service skills and clear communication with dispatch, store teams, and fellow drivers
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation
• Ability to complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT logs, and meet all compliance requirements, including reading and speaking English as required by DOT regulations
• Union Experience – Experience working in unionized environments strongly preferred

The Schedule & Setting:

• Dispatch times between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, you must be open to all schedules - home daily, no layovers
• Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays
• All trailers equipped with lift gates - no ramps
• Touch freight - with repetitive lifting 75+ lbs

Pay & Benefits:

• Starting pay: $34/hour (Effective 10/25/2026)

The expected range for this position is $33-$34/hour (For Hourly, Non-Exempt Roles) Location, confirmed job-related skills, education, experience, and relevant training will be considered in setting the actual starting salary.
