Job summary

US Foods in Portland, Oregon, is seeking drivers to safely deliver products to customers on early morning routes. The base rate starts at $27.94 per hour, with overtime compensation where applicable. Routes cover multiple yards in Oregon, with start times ranging from 1am to 6am and weekend options.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a valid CDL Class A with endorsements, and meet DOT qualifications. Training and a strong safety culture are emphasized as part of US Foods’ leadership and local team.

Qualifications

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Less than six months commercial driving experience or less than three months in food/beverage delivery is required
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

The expected base rate for this role is $27.94 per hour.

• As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation.

Schedule : Early morning start times

• Start times may vary based on route assignment

• Start times range between 1am - 6am

• Monday - Saturday availability

• Average work week is 4 or 5 days

• Route assignments are covering multiple yards located in Oregon

• Routes may alternate on a weekly basis

• Schedules may include weekends

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required

• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications

• Less than six months commercial driving experience or less than three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required

• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
