US Foods is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Springfield, IL. Start pay is $32.23 per hour with increases to $34.73 after probation. Typical schedule includes 4am–5am starts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

You will drive safely, unload 100% touch freight, verify deliveries, and provide excellent customer service. Requirements include being 21+, valid CDL A with DOT qualifications, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have valid CDL Class A with DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience (any industry) or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects.
