CORT Tradeshow and Events in San Diego, CA is hiring a Delivery Driver to load, deliver, and install furniture for tradeshow and event venues. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A driver’s license in the state of residency.
• Minimum 3 months experience driving tractor-trailers; 1 year preferred.
• Physically able to move furniture and lift 100+ lbs with a partner.
• Ability to comply with FMCSA regulations and English proficiency.
• Maintain a DOT Medical certificate, pass physical and drug screening.
• Pass road test per company/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and load furniture safely for transport.
• Attend pre-delivery meetings to review logistics and client expectations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; keep trucks clean.
• Drive tractors, box trucks, or sprinter vans on delivery routes.
• Install and assemble furniture per floor plans and instructions.
• Inspect items for damage and ensure no product is left behind.
• Provide onsite customer service and address client questions.
• Supervise temporary labor and instruct on delivery duties.
• Perform warehouse tasks as needed, including pallet handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for Class A CDL drivers in San Diego, CA. The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team, responsible for loading, delivering, and installing furniture at tradeshow and event venues such as festivals, weddings, corporate events, and the Superbowl.

Pay

$28 per hour.

Schedule

Schedule varies based on business needs. Weekends are required.

Training & Travel Requirement

Candidates must be able and willing to travel to Anaheim, California, during their second week of employment for required training. The role will require occasional overnight travel through November for training and business‑related activities. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be covered in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and load furniture, ensuring acceptable condition and safe loading for transport.
• Attend pre‑delivery meetings to review logistics, timelines, and client expectations.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip truck inspections, clean and prep trucks.
• Complete required written documentation and maintain electronic logging device records as per FMCSA.
• Drive tractor‑trailers, box trucks, or sprinter vans on delivery routes safely and lawfully.
• Install and assemble furniture at venues according to floor plans and client instructions.
• Inspect furniture for damage at pick‑ups, load trucks, and ensure no product is left behind.
• Provide onsite customer service and address client questions or concerns.
• Supervise temporary labor and instruct associates on delivery, pickup, loading, and unloading.
• Perform warehouse duties as needed, including manual handling of pallets and products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid and current Class A driver’s license in the state of residency.
• Minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a tractor‑trailer; 1 year preferred.
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; able to lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations, including acceptable English language proficiency.
• Maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, including passing a physical and drug screening.
• Pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards.
