Performance Food Group in the United States is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to support our food distribution network. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering products to customers on time and in good condition while adhering to DOT regulations.

This role offers a 4-day work week with a minimum of $1,400 per week, no Sundays, 10–12 hour shifts, and routes that may start between 12 AM and 3 AM.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR (past 3 years).
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for proper load and secure freight; complete required paperwork.
• Ensure tractor/trailer and freight are secured; unload damaged goods and returns.
• Maintain daily records and hours-of-service compliance.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery driversnot only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in goodcondition, but they are the face of our company - building lasting relationships with our customers! The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Major Functional Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety check (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times. Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork and procedures at end of shift. Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Complies with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies.
• Upholds overall safety standards and follows guidelines for the proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Education:

• High School Diploma/GED or
• Equivalent Experience Required

Work Experience:

• 6+ months Commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL A
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location
