Job summary

Responsibilities include safely operating a commercial vehicle, loading/unloading, securing freight, and maintaining compliance with DOT rules. Overtime begins after 40 hours, with top rate after 6 months and a path to profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A required with interstate driving experience or diploma from approved driving school.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to read/write English and perform simple math.

Responsibilities

• Drives a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
• Load and unload trailer, with/without dockworkers assistance; use of mechanical freight handling equipment where available.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight via straps or other methods as required.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safety; maintain required logs and records.
• Comply with all DOT and company regulations for safe operation of CMV.
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations and complete necessary documentation.
