Job summary

American Driver is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver - Trainee to run steady, year-round refrigerated freight across the 11 Western states. Immediate training spots are open for recent CDL school graduates ready to start their career.

During training you will receive paid instruction and then move into solo driving with 1,200–1,500 weekly gross, 0.50 CPM up to 0.65 CPM, and a home time every other week for a full 48-hour reset. Expect consistent miles and a supportive program.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A before start.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Recent CDL school graduate (120-hour minimum) OR 6+ months experience.
• Clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Operate steady, year-round refrigerated freight across the Western region.
• Maintain weekly miles in the 1,700–2,200 range.

Paid Company Training (For Trainees / Recent Grads)

• Competitive Weekly Pay during 4–6 weeks of hands-on, on-the-job training on Western regional routes with an experienced driver.
• Must have already completed a minimum 120-hour CDL school program.
• Move directly into your own truck and start earning full mileage pay once training is complete.
• Weekly Earnings: $1,200 – $1,500 average weekly gross.
• Starting Mileage: $0.50 CPM up to $0.65 CPM based on performance.
• Monthly Bonus: Up to an extra $0.06 CPM based on miles.
• Route: 11 Western Regional (No Northeast driving, consistent and familiar lanes).
• Home Time: Home every other week for a full 48-hour home reset.
• Weekly Miles: Consistent 1,700 – 2,200 miles per week.
• The Work: Steady, year-round refrigerated (reefer) freight. No seasonal slowdowns.

General Requirements

• Valid CDL-A required before start.

Background & Drug Screen Qualifications

• Employment History: Looking for drivers with a stable work history and manageable employment gaps.
• DOT Testing: Must be able to pass standard pre-employment drug screening, which includes both urine and hair follicle testing.
