Job summary

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation seeks a Truck Driver to support the well plugging and abandonment team by transporting equipment to well sites across West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat preferred, and a strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Winch truck operations: load/unload and assist in lifting heavy equipment.
  • Rig operations: move rigs and secure loads on trucks; assist in site setup.
  • Perform general maintenance on trucks and report needs promptly.
  • Complete trip logs, inspections, and delivery receipts accurately.
  • Follow safety regulations for hazardous materials and environmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate transportation needs with rig personnel to ensure smooth operations.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting the well plugging and abandonment team in their operations by transporting equipment and materials to various well sites. While this position supports operations throughout West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and will require travel during the day, overnight stays are infrequent (2-3 times per month). The position is paid weekly with wages starting at $28/hour. Signing bonus available to eligible new employees. Special focus will be placed on:

  • Safely operating and maintaining company-owned trucks to transport equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Transporting skid mounted rig equipment, tubulars, and construction equipment.
  • Water truck operations:
    • Transport and deliver water to well sites.
    • Maintain accurate records of water deliveries and usage.
  • Winch truck operations:
    • Operate the winch truck to assist in the lifting and positioning of heavy equipment.
    • Safely load and unload equipment using winch operations.
  • Rig operations:
    • Assisting with moving rigs and associated equipment to and from well sites.
    • Ensure proper loading and securing of equipment and materials onto trucks.
    • Unload and assist in setting up equipment at the well site as required.
    • Perform general maintenance on trucks and equipment, including inspecting, cleaning, fueling, and minor repairs.
    • Report maintenance needs promptly.
    • Maintain open communication to coordinate transportation needs and schedules.
    • Collaborate with rig employees and other personnel to ensure efficient and smooth project operations.
    • Complete necessary paperwork such as trip logs, inspections reports, and delivery receipts accurately and promptly.
    • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials and equipment.
    • Prioritize safety at all times.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment.
    • Report any safety issues or incidents immediately.
    • Follow environmental guidelines and best practices to minimize the impact of operations on the environment.
    • Other equipment operations support per management discretion.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another. This includes the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently positioning oneself (e.g., to stoop, kneel, or squat) to perform tasks, and occasionally ascend/descend (e.g., ladders or uneven terrain)
  • The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location and work performed
  • Ability to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess driving operations effectively (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
  • Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
  • Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back. Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work
  • Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights
  • Lifts or carries 100 lbs. or more, which falls into the "heavy" category (over 50 pounds).
  • Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 120 ft./lbs.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions.
  • The position requires the ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments, encompassing the essential physical requirements and efforts outline
Driver Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
  • This position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
  • Candidates must be eligible to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
